“It is such an exceedingly pleasing time being in the Faculty of Geography at Gadjah Mada University as a centre for my knowledge on remote sensing and GIS. Originating from qualified lecturers’ unwavering support during my study. The great knowledge on remote sensing in general with demonstration on present applications of the technology made me to become familiar and quantify things that before I had to study more qualitatively. Basic and advanced image processing techniques utilized when examining imagery is a stimulus to my interest in remote sensing activities which play a vital roles in modern development i.e. monitoring and analyzing environmental problems such as wetlands and coastal zone management, geological hazard mapping, environmental risk assessment, landuse planning, urbanization, vegetation cover change, soil erosion assessment, together with research at large.”
